Cabot Cabin
This rustic cabin sits about .4 miles below the summit of Mt Cabot on the Kilkenny Ridge trail. Just past the cabin is a col with some views. There is sleeping room for 8, plus a wood burning stove and kitchen utensels. A local Boy Scout group maintains the place and keeps some of the suplies stocked. There is no fee for staying there and it's first-come first-served.
The Mt Cabot trail is closed. There are two main access points remaining for the cabin. From the north you can come in via Mill Brook Road and the Unknown Pond trail to the Kilkenny Ridge trail. The other is from the east by the Fish Hatchery, via the Bunnell Notch trail.
