Winter Camping at the Shelter
Kinsman Pond Campsite
The shelter and tent platforms sit on the edge of Kinsman Pond, just off the Fishin' Jimmy Trail. The water in the pond is nasty, but potable; boil all water before using. The campsite is just below North Kinsman and two miles from Lonesome Lake Hut.During the summer season, the shelter has a caretaker and a fee is charged. There are three tent platforms near the shelter.
