East Osceola is connected to Osceola along a rocky ridge. The trail is rough and difficult with some sections of scrambling. The summit is completely wooded, with no views nearby.
The Mount Osceola trail rises from Tripoli Road, goes over Osceola, then descends and climbs to the summit of East. It is an 8.4 mile round trip. Another approach is from the Kanc on the Greeley Ponds trail which hits the eastern end of the Mount Osceola trail at Greeley Ponds. This route is 5.6 miles but doesn't include Mt Osceola. You can also access the other end of the Greeley Ponds trail from the Waterville Valley side via the Livermore Road.
The Osceolas were named for the Seminole chief some time in the 1800's.
